Legacy

Mercury Fabrics began its journey in 1950 when R. L. Sachdeva migrated to Ludhiana and started selling hand-dyed fabrics. In 1962, the business moved to Delhi, continuing its focus on quality fabrics. During the 1970s, the family expanded into trading a wide variety of fabrics for garment manufacturers and exporters, sourcing materials from processing and printing mills in Ahmedabad. The next generation joined in the late 1990s and early 2000s, bringing renewed energy to the business. In 2003, Mercury Fabrics Private Limited was incorporated, marking the start of in-house knitting operations and production of greige fabric. Over the years, the company grew steadily, reaching USD 4 million in revenue by 2008. In 2015, it launched a state-of-the-art printing plant, introducing machinery that was the first of its kind in India.
